Butter & Garlic Tossed Carrots

Here’s another recipe-less recipe from the Kurtak Family. This was one of my Dad’s side dishes. It’s super easy.. Whenever I go to potlucks and don’t have much time, this is one of my fall backs. You won’t believe how many people will ooh and ahh over it and ask for the recipe. No recipe folks, it’s just plain old steamed carrots. Sometimes less is more.

Cut carrots into evenly sized pieces- this can be whole if they’re small, rounds if they’re big, or long strips (carrot sticks style) which was our family’s preference. Put in a a pot with a steamer and bit of water. Steam until tender. In another pan melt a couple Tablespoons of butter or margarine. Crush in a couple cloves of garlic. Toss with the cooked carrots and salt to taste.
